Pāpāmoa Hills Cultural Heritage Regional Park is closed to the public until further notice following multiple landslips caused by recent severe weather. Work to restore public access is progressing well, with an alternative walking track expected to open in March. 

Bay of Plenty Regional Council has adopted its draft Annual Plan 2026/27 and a proposed amendment to the Long Term Plan 2024-2034 for community consultation.
